#Automotiveelectronics pull #automotivePCB high-speed growth. Cars have evolved from the past completely mechanical devices into a combination of mechanical and electronic, automotive electronics in the #carmanufacturing costs in proportion to the increasing, automotive electronics market size is also expanding.
Automotive electronics can be divided into two main categories: body electronic control systems and on-board electronic control systems.
Vehicle body control system can be divided into the engine control system, body control system, and chassis control system, vehicle body control system makes the automobile mechanical system and electronic devices combination, give full play to the advantages of electronic products, improve the performance of the mechanical system, electromechanical combination to ensure that the car driving safer and smoother.
The onboard electronic control system mainly includes a multimedia system, navigation system, driving recorder, reversing radar, and other systems, which increase the convenience and entertainment of using the car and enhance the car's experience.
Smart driving opens up the automotive #economy to greater imagination and is now increasing penetration in the #automotivemarket.
Increasing automotive electronics content drives up the price and volume of automotive PCBs.
Automotive electronics account for about 28 percent of the value of conventional premium cars; and can reach 47-65 percent in new energy vehicles. The proportion of global automotive electronics cost in the whole vehicle has been increasing year by year; and shows an increasing trend. According to the data of China Industry Information Network, the cost of automotive electronics accounted for less than 20% of the vehicle in 2000 to 34% in 2020, and it is expected to reach 50% in 2030. PCB, as a bridge that carries automotive electronic components and connects circuits, with the continuous improvement of automotive electronic content, the demand and value of car PCBs have also been further enhanced.
Global demand for automotive PCBs grows faster than overall PCB demand.
According to #Primark data, automotive PCB demand will rise from $6.5 billion in 2020 to $9.5 billion in 2025, with a CAGR of 7.6%, higher than the overall PCB growth rate of 1.8 pct, and it is expected that the proportion of automotive PCBs will rise from 10% in 2020 to 11% in 2025.
The demand for PCBs from #newenergyvehicles also has huge potential. Supported by industrial policies, China's new energy vehicle market has maintained high growth since 2014. The #BMS in new energy vehicles is one of the core components, and as one of the basic components of the BMS, PCBs will also benefit from the development of new energy vehicles.
Compared with conventional vehicles, new energy vehicles require a higher degree of electronics, with electronics accounting for about 25 percent of the cost of a conventional premium car and 45-65 percent of the cost of a new energy vehicle.
